The IU1 Lending Libraries for STEM/STEAM and Assistive Technology are full of endless possibilities for educators and students alike! Educators can borrow current digital technical tools and assistive technology tools to use within their classroom. Learn more about these libraries below. 

About the STEM/STEAM Lending Library: 

Add innovation, creativity, and programming into your current curriculum and check out what all IU1 has to offer! 

Who is eligible to borrow? Lending Library materials and resources are available to be loaned out to school districts for a maximum of THREE (3) WEEKS. Requests will be granted on a first come first serve basis. We do ask that you try to give at least a four week notice to allow for pick-up/delivery of items. 

How do I request an item? To loan out Lending Library Materials educators must attend a professional development workshop on the desired item, once you have successfully completed the workshop you will be able to borrow from the Lending Library (workshop fees cover the cost of delivery and pick up).

About the Assistive Technology Lending Library: 

Intermediate Unit 1 has a lending library of assistive technology (AT) items available to local educational agencies (LEA) for a trial period of four to six weeks.

Who is eligible to borrow? Fayette, Washington, and Greene County educators employed or contracted by Intermediate Unit 1, school district, charter school, approved private school, or IU1 early intervention program can borrow from the Assistive Technology Lending Library with approval from their LEA/Administrator.  

How do I request an AT item? At top of this page select Create Account” to sign up to our Lending Library. Then go to the “Inventory” tab at the top of this page to begin reserving items to borrow.
